Chambers USA Women in Law Awards 2015

I am delighted to announce details of our Chambers Women in Law Awards, USA which are taking place at The Harvard Club, New York on Tuesday, June 2. Through a series of international award programs, Chambers Women in Law recognises in-house counsel, private practice lawyers, firms and companies that have excelled in introducing gender diversity and mentoring initiatives that have made a significant difference to the recruitment, retention and promotion of female legal talent.

Our fourth annual Chambers Women in Law Awards, USA 2015 is the highlight of our global women in law program.

Submissions
The Chambers Women in Law Awards, USA 2015 will take place on June 2 at The Harvard Club, New York. Please read the below information carefully on the submission process for our awards.
Our 2015 categories: 
  • Most Pioneering Gender Diversity Initiative (Firm) – This is an award for a progressive, unique program which makes your firm stand out from all the others.
  • Most Valuable Mentoring Programme for Women Lawyers (Firm)
  • Most Inclusive Firm for Minority Women Lawyers (Firm)
  • Most Inclusive Company for Minority Women Lawyers (In-House)
  • Corporate Social Responsibility Programme of the Year (Firm)
  • Outstanding Company for Furthering Women’s Advancement (Recruitment, Retention and Promotion) (In-House)
  • Outstanding Firm for Furthering Women’s Advancement (Recruitment, Retention and Promotion) (Firm) – This is an award for a long-standing, successful program which has shown direct results in recruiting, retaining and promoting women.
Criteria for Firm/Company awards
  •   We do not need information on deals/legal work
  •   Please try and include statistics and evidence wherever possible.

In-House/Private practice awards*

 

  • Future Leader (Private Practice) – This is aimed at Associates, Senior Associates and Of Counsel.
  • Future Leader (In-House)
  • Leadership in the Community: Lawyer of the Year (Private Practice) – This award includes pro bono and voluntary work
  • Leadership in the Community:  Lawyer of the Year (In-House) – This award includes pro bono and voluntary work
  • Leadership in the Profession: Mentoring
  • Leadership in the Profession: Mentoring Lawyer of the Year (Private Practice)
  • Leadership in the Profession: Mentoring Lawyer of the Year (In-House)
  • Leadership in the Profession: Gender Diversity
  • Leadership in the Profession: Gender Diversity – Lawyer of the Year (Private Practice
  • Leadership in the Profession: Gender Diversity – Lawyer of the Year (In-House)
Outstanding Contribution to Furthering the Advancement of Women in the Law
  • Outstanding Achievement Award (Private Practice) – This award is for an individual, senior lawyer
  • Outstanding Achievement Award (In-House) – This award is for an individual, senior in-house lawyer
Criteria for individual in-house and private practice awards:

– LAWYERS DO NOT NEED TO BE RANKED IN CHAMBERS USA – the awards are open to non-ranked lawyers
– Please ensure that you only submit ONE lawyer from your firm/company PER category.*

* If more than one lawyer from you firm/company is submitted for one category, this will render both submissions void.

Deadline for entries: Friday, April 17. Nominees will be announced on Monday May 11th.

  • Ensure that your submission form is no longer than 1,000 words
