The University of Toulouse Law School is to host an international symposium on Women from Object to Subject: Political Power, Legal Discourse and Professional Equality. The conference takes place this week in Toulouse.
The conference aims to explore the topic of women as subjects, both on a theoretical and practical level: from the real life experiences of women engaged in politics in peacetime as well as in periods of conflicts to the economy and law.
The organisers have brought together specialists from different disciplines such as historians, geographers, sociologists, philosophers and specialists in psychology and literature. Chambers Women in Law Editor, Dee Sekar will be giving a presentation at the conference entitled, “Women Lawyers in the workplace – Advancement, Professional Equality and the Future”.
